Highway crews joined Safety Days in Lake Luzerne

Local highway employees took part in a two-day training program at Painted Pony Rodeo in Lake Luzerne, according to Warren County's June 9, 2026, report. The Town Highway Superintendents Association of Warren County and the county Self Insurance Department organized the annual Safety Days program.

Topics included excavation, chainsaw work, culvert replacement and vehicle or equipment practices. Participants came from county Public Works, Parks and Recreation, airport and Buildings and Grounds crews, along with town departments and Glens Falls DPW. Public Health and Emergency Services displays addressed outdoor workplace risks. The report also described skills competitions and seminars, bringing several departments together for practical training rather than a single construction project.
